The Great Asian Secrets Giveaway

Liz Lanuzo of Project Vanity is having this contest:

So what do you need to do to win this one? The contest is divided into two parts: for the brides and of course for those who are not. Obviously I am not so I would have to answer the second question which is "What are your beauty secrets"? I divided my routine to the following:

1. Wash, tone and sunblock
I wash my face twice a day. It is a misconception that numerous washing of the face would take off the dirt and grime as this results to the pores producing more oil to compensate for the drying of the skin. The toner  helps even out discoloration and tighten the pores.I have sensitive skin and currently I'm using the Mario Badescu line.

I've been a fan of sunblocks for years now. Some women do not understand the importance of using sunblocks on their faces. This does not only protect your face from the harmful UV rays but this would help minimize lines and facial discolorations. L'Oreal UV Perfect is a great sunblock, being SPF 50 and it can be used as make up base as well.

2. Remove all make-up
Going to bed wearing make-up is a mortal sin so I make sure that I totally remove everything before I hit the sack. I use Maybelline make-up remover to get off stubborn mascara.

3. Spoon placed inside the fridge
Whenever I lack sleep and my eyes look really poofy, I put a spoon inside the freezer and when it's cold enough already I place it on my eyes to cool them down and lessen the poofiness.

4. Egg as face mask
It may sound yucky but it tightens the pores trust me.

5. Hydrate yourself
Water is very beneficial for the skin and all parts of the body as well.

6. Exercise
This keeps your blood flowing and gets rid of all the dirt trapped in your pores. I am an avid fan of sports and I do run whenever time permits.

Basically I do the usual routine of shampoo and conditioner whenever I shower. I also use L'Oreal Elseve Damage Care once a week to prevent dryness. I minimize the use of a hairdryer as this leads to splitends. Cheap deep-conditioning alternative? Mayonnaise.

I slough off dead skin cells with milk salts then apply lotion after I take a bath.

Now how will I incorporate Asian Secrets into my routine?

First what is Asian Secrets? It is a lulur body scrub from Indonesia which was originally intended for brides to use on their wedding day. But we don't need to be brides don't we to be able to experience this one of a kind product.

Ok I'll be honest here, it would be really nice to have glorious armpits such as Anne Curtis' but no I do not possess that. That part of the body could still trigger every woman's insecurity, I mean let's face it. This scrub targets the dark areas of the body and I intend to follow the instructions written on it and use it wherever possible. If ever, I would use it after I lather myself with soap while on the shower.

Last but not the least, keep a positive outlook and always try to smile and be happy. Beauty that emanates from within is the best.

I guess that's it, and if you want to join here are the contest mechanics:

Contest mechanics
